InterVarsity Christian Fellowship recently hosted a Men’s Night on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, and SYNC had the joy of being part of it in one of the most tangible ways possible: feeding hungry college guys!

Our SYNC volunteers prepared a homemade meal for the men of InterVarsity, and by the end of the night, there wasn’t a crumb left! But the night was about so much more than good food.

Meals That Make Ministry Possible

College can be overwhelming – full schedules, constant pressure, and plenty of questions about life, faith, and the future. InterVarsity’s Men’s Night created space for young men to step away from the noise and:

  • Build real friendships
  • Be encouraged in their walk with Jesus
  • Talk honestly about faith, character, and calling

Our volunteers stepped in behind the scenes to help make that kind of night possible. By planning, shopping, cooking, serving, and cleaning up, they offered a warm and welcoming environment where these students could slow down, share life, and be discipled.

A Joy to Support Discipleship

At SYNC, we care deeply about seeing the next generation grow strong in Christ. Getting to undergird the discipling of young men in such a practical way is a gift. It may look like simple hospitality, but we believe God uses these acts of service to open hearts, strengthen community and support the ongoing work of campus ministry.
