SYNC’s Nifty Needles Group Makes a Big Impact

Nifty Needles Volunteers sewing dresses
Pam Korgan

Our Nifty Needles SYNC Group has spent the past year weaving kindness and hope into every stitch. Through their dedicated work, they have supported Dress a Girl Around the World, a national initiative that sends handmade dresses to girls in third-world countries. These dresses find their way into orphanages and missions, bringing joy and dignity to children who need it most.

Here’s a look at what our incredible SYNC ladies have accomplished this year:

  • Dresses Made: 844
  • Quilts Created and Donated: 240
    • Children’s Cabinet: 66
    • Military Support: 20
    • New Hope Fernley: 30
    • Real Choices: 40
    • Community Schools: 47

But it doesn’t stop there. The group also assembled:

  • Sewing Kits: 120
  • Felt Pencil Cases: 60
  • Book Bags: 180

This amazing work has made a tangible impact in many lives, and it’s all thanks to the care, creativity, and commitment of our volunteers.

Looking Ahead

With hearts full of gratitude for this year’s accomplishments, the Nifty Needles Group has set an ambitious goal for next year: to create and donate 1,000 dresses. We are excited to see how far we can go together, stitching hope one dress, quilt, and kit at a time.

If you’d like to join this meaningful mission or support the group in any way, please reach out to SYNC. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children and families around the world.
