Pam Butters
Pam has lived in Reno for 22 years with her husband, Don, married for 48 years. Prior to moving to Reno, they shared the joy of living and raising their family at Lake Tahoe. They have two adult daughters and two grandchildren.
Pam’s gifts and passions all revolve around a love for teaching. She became a Precept Bible Leader over 30 years ago, and also is a Nevada licensed teacher in Secondary Education, specializing in Alternative Education, recently retired. Over the past 20 years she has made five educational mission trips to Russia, and one each to Cambodia and Armenia, to take Christian curriculum and work with high school teachers. Pam’s special passion is to mentor young women in choosing positive paths for their lives. She taught in the WCSD Cyesis Program, was a co-founder of Reno Teen Mothers Of Preschoolers (MOPs), and taught the SHAPE* class at her church. Currently, Pam is an educational mentor for young women in the Awaken program, and any students needing to complete their high school diplomas. Pam and her husband enjoy leading Bible study and home fellowship groups. Favorite pastimes include being outdoors, hiking and enjoying God’s splendor in creation, and her greatest joy, spending time playing with her grandchildren. She loves teaching people how to get in SYNC with their divinely-designed SHAPE to fulfill God’s glorious purpose for them.
