Our SYNC ladies were a resounding ‘YES!’ for helping the Pathfinders Children’s Ministry with their annual fundraiser, an effort that supports their ‘boots on the ground’ work spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to underprivileged kids in our community.
After carpooling to Washoe Valley on Thursday, our ladies began setting up for the big event. On Saturday, they went early and stayed through cleanup.
The Pathfinders BBQ was a great success! The weather was perfect for outdoor games and a silent auction in the beautiful outdoor setting before everyone moved inside the “barn” for dinner. A great western live band played, and the food was really good; it was nice that people could serve themselves. We were kept hopping, delivering water pitchers to tables and keeping the lemonade and coffee supplies stocked. It was so nice to be able to offer all the beverages this time! We also plated all the pies—they too were fantastic and disappeared as fast as we could cut them. It was a really fun time, and all the tables were filled!
