Pool Party and Potluck
Most of the time, we at SYNC are focused on serving others, but today was all about us! We had a blast at our annual Pool Party and Potluck, hosted by Pam K. It was a perfect day of good food, great fellowship, and cooling off in the pool. (Sorry, no pictures of us actually in the pool. We were having too much fun!) It was a great way to recharge as we gear up for a busy season of giving back.
Cookies for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
We’re already looking forward to baking hundreds of cookies to be handed out to students at UNR, organized by Clare and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. We’ll be bagging them up this Saturday at Pam B’s house.
CityFest and Awaken
Annie shared that the Awaken kids loved their new back-to-school supplies, and Pam K handed out even more yard signs, tickets, and flyers for CityFest. Our SYNC prayer warriors and workers are out in full force for the event, and our ladies also rallied to be greeters, help with registration, and clean up for the “Stories of Hope” women’s event leading up to CityFest.
Pathfinders BBQ and Awaken Banquet
We’re also making plans to help Pathfinders with their BBQ fundraiser on October 4th and Awaken’s Banquet on November 15th. And believe it or not, we’ve already started thinking about our Christmas luncheon and basket auction on December 12th!
It’s clear that we have a lot on our plates, but we always make time to come together and celebrate. Contact us for more details on any of the events mentioned here. We hope that you’ll come out and join us in supporting these amazing local organizations.
